Welcome to my blog. I don’t know if you know anything about me, but I’ll sure be glad to let you know a little bit. First of all, I am a young traveler and entrepreneur, so you’re probably going to read a lot about my ups and downs in life, at work, with travel and with men.
If you’re in your 20s you’re probably going to enjoy reading about somebody else’s misery as your own, get a little laugh or maybe even get to empathize with the things I go through on a daily basis. If you are older or younger… Just sit tight and visualize the life of a clumsy millenial!
I am going to start with a little bit of how I got to travel so much from the start and how I got to the point where I am now where I feel happy, free and at times fighting my own demons as any other person.
My name is Mirza; I am 26 years old and about a year ago I started being a full-time freelance writer and translator, which has provided me with a lot of tools that I didn’t have before but also had me face tons of challenges in the way and lived things that I never thought I would go through. Since I lost my apartment, my boyfriend and my job within a month, I came to live back with my mom which has been a blessing (and sometimes a nightmare too). I have been travelling all my life, since my parents were big junkies of museums and sighseeing, but I never did it on my own until I was 18.
Making it happen
It was all fun and games within my own borders (Mexico), until I got the opportunity to go on a trip to Colombia, to represent Zimbabwe as a MUN (Model United Nations Delegate), which was amazing, but then… The real challenge came through: In college, I got the opportunity to choose where to go for a semester-long exchange, for which I chose Portugal… Where the real fun started.
The way I see things is that everything happens for a reason -you probably heard this a lot but it is definitely true- and as hard as we try to deny it, it forces us to shake our *mapped* life path again and again.
Now, I write about sex, about love and about travel… Everything I am passionate about. And why not? It’s one of the biggest fears of the human being: to let go!
My introduction wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t thank my lovely Instagram followers because this blog started from the tons of support I received from them on a daily basis when I write little captions of the places I’ve been. So all of you that came from Instagram… Thank you.
